How To Use CuteFTP With an iPhone

If you have an iPhone and want to use CuteFTP with it you will find that it is easier than you might think. To use CuteFTP with an iPhone, follow these simple steps.

Set your iPhone to “Never Lock.” Do this by going to “Settings” and select “Auto-Lock.” When the options come up you will need to select “Never.” Download CuteFTP to your computer if you have not already. The rapidshare website has a direct link to the download file.

Extract the two files that you have download and open the patch file. Install CuteFTP without doing anything with the patch file. Open CuteFTP and then go to your patch file and click patch. Once it says it was successfully patched click on register. Minimize and go to your iPhone.

Install a program in installer called OpenSSh. Restart the phone, go into that app to make sure SSH is on. Go back to CuteFTP on your computer. Select “File” then “New” then “SFTP” and type your IP address into the IP address bar. To find your IP address, go into wifi on your iPhone and click the blue arrow that is next to network. This will show you your IP address.

Use the username of “root” and the password of “alpine” and click on connect when you have entered them. This should connect you – but if not – go to top of program where it reads port and change it to 22 if is not already listed as 22.

When you use CuteFTP, your device will be in the link called SITE MANAGER.
